Already down in the League Pennant, the El Paso Mavericks put on their best show, beating the Houghton Gremlins by a final score of 6-0. Edwin Serna was special. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. El Paso now trails Houghton 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Serna, who was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, threw 98 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing no runs.

Gremlins manager Dane Freeman did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the ABL Championship."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Corral in El Paso.
