Almost There: Montreal On Cusp of R3 Triumph After 10-5 Win
Riding the 2-hit performance of center fielder Gene Johnson, the Montreal Mounties got a road win against the Buffalo Bison, 10-5, in Game 4 of the League Pennant. Johnson was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Mounties, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

In the top of the second, Chris Romanko delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Montreal designated hitter hit a 2-run double, putting the Mounties in front, 10-5.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Johnson told the Montreal Today.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium in Buffalo.
