Brooklyn and Easton got after it at The Lava Flow.
The Brooklyn Cyclones soundly defeated the Easton Caterpillars, 14-3, at The Lava Flow. Arturo Paz, who is tied for 4th in the RR in home runs with 27, let his bat do the talking. He was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for Brooklyn. Jorge Torres got credit for the win, improving to 8-6. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings.
With Brooklyn leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Paz hit a fastball from Manny Rosario for a run-scoring double. It was his 29th double of the season and put the Cyclones ahead, 3-1.
"We got our butts kicked," said Easton manager Mekonnen Asani.
With the win, Brooklyn raised its record to 92-52.
