Multi-HR Day for Angelo as Boomers Overpower Slammers, 5-1
|
Schaumburg right fielder Jerry Angelo made his presence felt in the 5-1 Boomers triumph over the Joilet Slammers. Angelo went 3-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. At 5-3, the Boomers have played well so far.
With Schaumburg leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Angelo hit a fastball from Edgar Quiroz for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Boomers ahead, 5-1.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Angelo.
