Mace Kota sparked his Buffalo Bison past the pesky Jacksonville Pilots in a closely-contested Divisional Series.

Buffalo topped Jacksonville 14-9 at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium to decide the series, 4-2

For his efforts, Kota was rewarded with the series MVP trophy for his .509 batting average, 8 RBIs and 15 runs scored.

"You never want to leave anything on the field," Kota said. "You never want to miss a play of defense you could have made, or give up an extra base you could have gotten, because in a series this tight you never know what you'll need to win."

The League Pennant matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
