Big Day for Hill in 18-5 Lighting Win
The Thunder Bay Lighting defeated the Caribbean Commies, 18-5, in part because of catcher Cameron Hill. Hill went 4 for 5 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Lighting. Fernando Salas earned the win. Manny Barragan, who is tied for 2nd in the RR in strikeouts with 204, took the loss for Caribbean. Thunder Bay goes to 98-43. The win puts them 7½ games up in their division.

Thunder Bay used the hitting of Jose Quinones to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Lighting on top, 2-0. For the game, Quinones had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.

"Take no prisoners" is how Thunder Bay manager Masamune Fujimoto described his team's current M.O.
