Almost There: Niagara Falls On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 11-3 Win

The Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters moved to within one game of the Double A World Series, downing the visiting Wauwatosa Indians at Pipe Fitters Park by a score of 11-3. Pipe Fitters second baseman Khalil Easterling did some major damage. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 5. The win gives the Pipe Fitters a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Double A League Championship.
In the bottom of the fourth, Niagara Falls third baseman Steve Venetz had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and two out, Venetz stroked a 2-run triple to right-center. It made the score 3-0, Niagara Falls. For the game, he went 1 for 5 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It feels good to get this one," Venetz told the Niagara Falls Daily News.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Pipe Fitters Park in Niagara Falls.
