The Buffalo Bison defeated the Jacksonville Pilots, 13-12, in Game 3 of the Divisional Series. A big contributor was shortstop Mace Kota, who was 6 for 6 with 2 doubles and 4 singles. He scored 3 times. The win moves Buffalo into a 2-1 lead in the series.

In the top of the seventh, Buffalo center fielder Jonathan Schimmel had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Schimmel stroked a bases-clearing double to right-center. It made the score 13-4, Buffalo. For the game, he went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 6 RBI.

"There's nothing like the postseason," said Kota, "to ramp up the pressure."
