Toreros Stumble, Lose to Hornets
The Eureka Hornets pinned a convincing loss on the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 9-2, at The Nest. Adam Pappalardo was a main factor in the win. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for Eureka. Eureka has a record of 63-36, placing them first in the Roberto Clemente League Central Division.

Benny Rodriguez had a big 2-run home run for the Hornets in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Eureka leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Justin Dietrich, who finished 4th in the TML in innings pitched with 205.1 last year, and punished it. The result was his 16th home run of the season, which put the Hornets on top, 4-1.
