Road Win Lifts Okanagan to 1-0 Lead in R1
The Okanagan Lake Monsters wasted no time taking the lead in the Single A League Championship, beating the Memphis Blues at The Barn by the score of 6-4. The win gives Okanagan a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Lake Monsters right-hander Wayne Balaski threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball.

Balaski gave Okanagan a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 6.2 innings.

"Wayne is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Okanagan manager Landy Lu.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Barn in Memphis.
