Almost There: Moonbeam On Cusp of Single A World Series Triumph After 5-3 Win
With starter Andrew Ball leading the charge, the Moonbeam Martians defeated the Okanagan Lake Monsters, 5-3, in Game 4 of the Single A World Series. The left-hander threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball at Elks Stadium to help Moonbeam take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

In the top of the third, Kader Kefentse delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Moonbeam designated hitter hit a 2-run single, putting the Martians in front, 5-3.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Kefentse told the Moonbeam Herald.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Elks Stadium in Kelowna.
