Mike Young led San Francisco to a win over Hawaii. The final score was 9-0. Young collected 2 RBI, while going 4 for 5 at the plate. The first baseman also scored 2 times. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Earthquakes ahead, 2-0.

Earthquakes manager Bill DesMarais had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
