Totems Get Past Yuma, 9-8
The Victoria Totems found a way to sneak past the Yuma Varmits, 9-8, in 11 innings. Victoria catcher Franklin Benevidez, for one, had a standout performance. Aaron Philbrick, 1-4, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. The Totems saw their record improve to 90-49.

Victoria used the clutch hitting of Oscar Romo to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to give the Totems the lead, 9-8. For the game, Romo had 2 singles and 1 double in 6 at-bats.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Victoria manager Senta Nakano.
