The Rock River Rats are one game away from a sweep of the Evanston Bishops after a road win at FUBU Field, 7-1. Rats right-hander Manny Irizarry had a strong outing. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. Rock River now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Double A League Championship.

Rock River used a clutch at-bat from Freddie Carter to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rats ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Carter attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at FUBU Field in Evanston.
