McCabe Schools Wichita in 9-0 Victoria Triumph
|
Wichita had no answer for 18-year old right-handed pitcher Grant McCabe. The Victoria Totems starter stymied Storm hitters, helping the Totems cruise to victory, 9-0. The second-place Totems sport a record of 87-54.
The standout performance belonged to 18-year-old McCabe. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Totems. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Storm, striking out 10 and scattering 1 hit over 7.2 innings. McCabe is now 5-3 on the season.
"All my pitches were working," said McCabe. "They were all synchronized together in attacking the zone."
