Milwaukee Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-1
|
On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Bloomington Blazers team, Emilio Salazar had a tough assignment. He delivered.
The Milwaukee Millers right-hander dominated the hosts, tossing 6.2 innings of shutout ball and guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 2-0. Salazar, 24, threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball in the contest. The win means Milwaukee now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.
The Blazers had little chance against Salazar, who overpowered Bloomington hitters and struck out 13.
"Emilio had electric stuff," said Milwaukee manager Daniel Dillon.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Mandalore Complex in Milwaukee.
