The Montreal Mounties defeated the Eureka Hornets, 6-5, in Game 2 of the Divisional Round. Making an impact was center fielder Gene Johnson, who was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win moves Montreal into a 1-1 tie with Eureka in the series.

Johnson had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a 2-run double. The Mounties went on to win.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Johnson.

The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 30th , 2065 at The Nest in Eureka.
