League Championship Series Game 1 Goes to Frobisher Bay, Thanks to Aguillar
The Frobisher Bay Caribou started the League Championship Series in style, downing the visiting Paradise Island Pirates at Pittodrie Stadium by a score of 6-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Caribou second baseman Jonathan Aguillar went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs.

In the bottom of the fifth, Frobisher Bay center fielder Oscar Olivo had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out, Olivo stroked a 3-run home run to center. It made the score 3-0, Frobisher Bay. For the game, he was 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

Frobisher Bay manager Lao Lo was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Pittodrie Stadium in Timmins.
