Harley Lowrie and the Eureka Hornets opened the Divisional Round in brilliant fashion, traveling to Montreal and shutting out the host Mounties at Mount Royal Grounds, 3-0, to secure an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Lowrie, the Hornets right-hander, threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball.

Eureka starter Harley Lowrie was a master of his craft. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7.2 innings.

"We had a good game plan," Lowrie said, "and we were able to execute it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mount Royal Grounds in Montreal.
