Boise Hawks starter John Vance turned in an exceptional performance against the Carson City Mustang at Cowboys Stadium, resulting in a Boise win, 2-1. Jarrett Allen notched his 14th save of the season. Their 70-70 record puts the Hawks 5th in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League.

Matt Griffin, who is tied for 2nd in the RAA in extra base hits with 60, had a direct impact on the outcome. Griffin contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Boise up, 2-0.

"It was a good effort all around," said Griffin.
