Antioch Breaks Through for First Win in League Championship Series; Now Trails 2-1
The Antioch Coal Miners have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Calgary Hitmen, winning, 5-1, at The Coal Mine. Coal Miners right fielder Chris Bridgeman was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win cuts the deficit facing the Coal Miners to 2-1 in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Bridgeman had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the first for the Coal Miners. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Antioch trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Antioch manager Jordan Hay.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Coal Mine in Antioch.
