Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Boston Whitecaps and Kelowna Rockets.
Boston Whitecaps starter Danny Arias pitched a strong game against the Kelowna Rockets at The Studio, leading the Whitecaps to victory, 5-3. Arias, now 5-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs. The save went to Franklin Sprague, his 41st this season.
Boston took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, John Day hit a 2-run single to make it 4-2, Whitecaps.
"We take it day by day here," said Day, "and today was a good one for us."
Boston goes to 81-59, Kelowna to 70-70.
