Raucous The Royal Grounds Crowd Propels Beach Bums to 11-2 Victory; Series Tied at 2
The Traverse City Beach Bums topped the Seattle Sasquatch by the score of 11-2 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the Round 1 today. The largest share of the credit belongs to Traverse City starter Steve Simpson, who threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball in the win.

With no one out in the bottom of the fifth, Eric Solomon barreled up a sinker from Alex Cardenas. The result was a grand slam home run, putting the Beach Bums in front, 9-0.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Simpson told the Traverse City News.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Royal Grounds in Traverse City.
