The Seattle Sasquatch started the Round 1 in style today, downing the visiting Traverse City Beach Bums at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium by a score of 7-1 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Sasquatch catcher Daniel Daly was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice.

The Sasquatch took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning. Facing Traverse City hurler Garfield Hall with one out, Daly hit a 2-run home run.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Daly told the Seattle Times. "It's as simple as that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium in Seattle.
