Blazers Heading to Divisional Championship
|
Fans of the Cabo San Lucas Toreros groaned when Erik Ruby stepped up to the plate in the Divisional Round.
And for good reason too, as the Bloomington Blazers player was instrumental in guiding his team to a 4-1 series win over the Toreros.
The series was clinched tonight at Field de Los Layendas, with Bloomington coming out on top 4-1 in the deciding game.
Ruby's strong series included a .556 batting average, with a .556 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Bloomington Blazers will play against the Oakland Admirals in the next round. Oakland had a bye in the Divisional Round. The Divisional Championship schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
