Cowboys Lose Late to Captains
Getting offensive support from Griffin Matte, the Tallahassee Captains topped the Calgary Cowboys, 8-4. Matte went 2 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Captains. The Captains saw their record improve to 51-89.

Bob Sanders came through with a big-time hit for Tallahassee. The designated hitter smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 7-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Matte, "one at-bat at a time."
