Rich Lewis was locked and loaded, helping the Brooklyn Cyclones beat the Carrollton Rangers, 8-1. Matthew Witt got credit for the save for Brooklyn. It was his 3rd of the year. At 88-50, the Cyclones claim second place in the RCL R John Mayberry Division.

Lewis, who leaned on his fastball, allowed no runs on just 1 hit over 5.2 innings for the Cyclones. For the most part, Carrollton hitters were simply overmatched.

"Rich set the tone with an amazing pitching performance," said Brooklyn manager Jerry Cruz.
