Triple A League Championship Game 1 Victory for Allred and Calgary
When he got to Calgary, Chad Allred was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the Triple A League Championship.

The 22-year-old rookie right-hander shut out the visiting Baton Rouge Outlaws, 4-0, in a remarkable performance at Cowboys Field. With the win, the Cowboys took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 Triple A League Championship.

Allred was in the zone all game. He frustrated Baton Rouge hitters while giving the Cowboys 7.1 innings of quality work. Allred threw 105 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 8 punchouts.

Calgary manager Thomas Hughes commended his team for "banging out a nice win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Cowboys Field in Calgary.
