Almost There: Eureka On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 3-0 Win
|
The Eureka Hornets got a strong performance from pitcher Bobby Loscalzo, who stymied the Bloomington offense en route to a 3-0 win in Game 4 of the Wild Card Round. The Blazers could never get a bead on the right-handed Loscalzo, who threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball. The Hornets now hold a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
The Blazers had trouble solving Loscalzo, who surrendered no runs on 3 hits over 7.2 innings.
"Bobby kept them off-balance, threw a great game for us," said Hornets manager Juan Montés.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Nest in Eureka.
