6 Straight Wins for Gremlins
The Houghton Gremlins eked out a 3-2 win versus the Buffalo Bison at Golden Goebels Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Chris Crawford. He was terrific. Crawford, the winner, moves to 5-4. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up no walks. Chris Wethington earned his 16th save in 20 chances.

Allen Webster, who finished 5th in the RCL in RBI with 118 last year, came through for Houghton with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. The first baseman went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 RBI.

"I like to lead by example," said Crawford. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."

The second-place Gremlins have won 6 in a row.
