When the games really matter, the Savannah Peaches put on their best show, beating the Rosewell Tribbles by a final score of 6-5. Bill Culver was 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Savannah now leads Rosewell 1-0 in the best-of-7 affair.

Savannah used a timely hit from Malachi Wichert to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Peaches ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Feels good to get the job done," Wichert said after the game.
