The Brooklyn Cyclones beat the Caribbean Commies, 14-3, at The Lava Flow. Brooklyn designated hitter Sandy Santos had an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Jorge Torres picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-6. He struck out 6 in 5 innings. With the win, Brooklyn pushed its record to 86-48.

With Brooklyn leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Santos came up to bat against Caribbean pitcher Angel Rodriguez. Santos hit a fastball to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 25th home run of the season put the Cyclones on top, 4-0.

"We got our butts kicked," said Caribbean manager Atamas Manas.
