Road Win Lifts Topeka West to 3-0 Lead in LCS
The Topeka West Chargers are one game away from a sweep of the Santa Clara Vampires after a road win at River Otters Ballpark, 4-3. Chargers right-hander Jarred Johnson had a strong outing. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Topeka West now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

The Chargers liked what they saw from Johnson. The 16-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Vampires to no runs on 1 hit over 6 innings, and striking out 9.

"We lost," Santa Clara manager Andy Jones said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at River Otters Ballpark in Santa Clara.
