Moonshiners Rally to Nose Past Bloomington
The Asheville Moonshiners withstood a fine game by Bloomington first baseman Luis Santizo at The Still, to upend the Blazers, 4-3. Santizo went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Asheville reliever Jimmy LaPointe picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Victor Ramirez was saddled with the loss. Steven Shiplack collected save number 14.

Asheville took a 4-3 lead on Bryan Criner's 12th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Criner hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Bloomington pitcher Victor Ramirez visibly frustrated.

"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Criner. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."

The Moonshiners now have a record of 40-45.
