Salaz Gets 5 Hits
Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit games are something else entirely. Efrain Salaz walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Wichita Storm in a career day at The Nutcracker Suite, but it was the Normal Nutcrackers who won the ballgame, 18-9.

"My swing was really, really there," Salaz said afterward. "I made some good, solid contact and when that happens, good things happen. And hey, 5-for-5 and losing is better than 0-for-5 and losing, right?"

Efrain Salaz singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jake Mansueto in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Thus far this season, Salaz is hitting .249 with 9 home runs, 33 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 57 hits in 229 at-bats and has played in 63 games.
