Evans Now 5-5 After Beating Millers
|
In a tightly-contested game between the Asheville Moonshiners and the Milwaukee Millers, pitcher Logan Evans was outstanding. The Asheville left-hander, who is a three-time All-Star, propelled his team's 1-0 win. Steven Shiplack earned the save for Asheville, his 22nd of the year. The win makes Asheville 44-40.
Evans, a native of Christiansted, Virgin Islands, was dealing all game. He kept Milwaukee hitters off-balance, while giving the Moonshiners 7 quality innings. Evans threw 88 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 5.
"Logan was hitting his spots," said Asheville manager Dylan Light. "It's hard to pitch better than that."
