The Tribbles had to overcome a good performance from Sedona pitcher Andres Najera to claim a 5-4 win at Classified Field. Najera went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Rosewell reliever Chris Abbate picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Francisco Flores was saddled with the loss. Rosewell improves to 65-23 with the win. They lead their division by 12½ games.
There were several reasons the Tribbles beat the Sabercats, but one factor was Juan Reynoso. In the bottom of the ninth, the Rosewell catcher came to bat and hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 5-4 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Reynoso.
