The Syracuse Orange Sox blasted the Easton Caterpillars, 23-5. Joel Swierczynski was one of the hitting stars. He went 3-3 with a triple, a double, 3 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 and driving in 3 for Syracuse. Ruben Saenz earned his 1st save, after closing out the game. At 82-49, the Orange Sox find themselves in second place in the RCL R Tony Fernandez Division.

With Syracuse leading 8-0 in the bottom of the second, Swierczynski came up to bat against Easton pitcher Kevin Foster. Swierczynski hit a fastball to right-center for a bases-clearing triple. His 4th triple of the season put the Orange Sox on top, 11-0.

"We'll try to build on that win," Swierczynski told the Syracuse Times.
