Fighting Iguanas Fall, 9-3, to Rabuse, Cyclones
|
Brooklyn second baseman Shane Rabuse was a significant contributor in his team's 9-3 triumph over the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Cyclones. The winner in relief was Tony Duron. He is now 6-1. The left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 5 innings. The winning continues for Brooklyn, with the latest triumph making it 7 straight.
Sandy Santos, who is tied for 4th in the RR in total bases with 238, aided the Brooklyn cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter drew 2 walks in 5 plate appearances, while scoring 2.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Cyclones manager Jerry Cruz.
