Hawaii Gets 6-1 Win
|
The Hawaii Honu took on the San Francisco Earthquakes at Golden Gate Park.
The Hawaii Honu beat the San Francisco Earthquakes, 6-1, at Golden Gate Park. Starting pitcher Sal Alvarado was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Carlos Quezada, credited with the save, is now 1 for 3 in save opportunities.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Angelo Garcia? The Hawaii first baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Honu on top, 2-1. For the game, Garcia had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said San Francisco manager Bill DesMarais.
This loss makes it 6 in a row for San Francisco.
