The Syracuse Orange Sox trumped the Easton Caterpillars, 17-7, at Syracuse Fields. Syracuse third baseman Mike Bennett was terrific. He was 2-2 with 2 doubles and 3 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The winner was Tadayoshi Yamamoto, who threw 98 pitches over 5.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 7 runs on 8 hits. At 81-49, the Orange Sox claim second place in the RCL R Tony Fernandez Division.

Danny Ledesma had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the first for Syracuse. With the bases loaded and the Orange Sox leading 2-1, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
