Torres Fans 17 Thunder
|
Antonio Torres of the Long Beach KO put on a pitching clinic today at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker as he struck out 17 Key West Thunder in a 4-2 victory. Torres, who is tied for 2nd in the RR in wins with 11, was simply magnificent as he held the Thunder to 4 hits. He walked 1.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Torres said, "but eventually my splitter really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Torres's performance, KO manager Gerald Webb shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
Checking out his stats for the year, Torres has racked up 11 wins and 3 losses in 20 starts, 2.26 ERA and struck out 263 batters in 159.1 innings.
