Blazers Come Up Short at Jacksonville, 6-5
Fans watched the Jacksonville Pilots and the Bloomington Blazers fight to the finish.

The Jacksonville Pilots had to overcome a big game from Bloomington left fielder Jaden White to leave Arnold Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5. White was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI. Jacksonville reliever Kelvin Tolmie picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. John Peters took the loss.

The Pilots got a big at-bat from designated hitter Sean Hanson. For the game, Hanson was 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 11th double of the season gave Jacksonville a 4-3 lead.

Jacksonville manager Ryan Currie was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.

Jacksonville is first in the Thurman Munson League East Division with a record of 61-36.
