The Sedona Sabercats picked up a win at The Lair at Sabercat Field, knocking off the Carrollton Rangers, 2-0. Starting pitcher Rich Chavez was a big reason why. The third-place Sabercats hiked their record to 42-18.

Carrollton had a runner on 1st in the top of the eighth. With one out, Cliff Stretton stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he struck out. The score remained 2-0, Sedona. The Rangers never could mount a comeback.
