Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Sandy Santos, the Brooklyn Cyclones defeated the Thunder Bay Lighting, 5-2. Santos was 2-2 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 for the Cyclones. Joe Bauer earned his 12th save in 12 chances. The Cyclones, at 77-47, sit in second place in the RCL R John Mayberry Division.

Brooklyn third baseman Alberto Guzman contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 85th hit of the season and put the Cyclones ahead, 2-0.
