Seawolves Come Back Late, Nip Cougars
|
The Seawolves had to overcome a good performance from Prince George pitcher Rich Corona to claim a 4-3 win at Erie Park. Corona went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Erie reliever Heriberto Vasquez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Daniel Lino absorbed the loss. Their 33-47 record puts the Seawolves last in the TMLR Otto Velez Division.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Erie first baseman Chris Andrews, facing Daniel Lino, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Seawolves the 4-3 win.
"We found a way to get it done," Andrews said.
