Red-Hot Cyclones Win Again
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones overcame a good performance by Thunder Bay left fielder Lloyd Lemay to knock off Thunder Bay, 6-4, at The Lava Flow. Lemay was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Matthew Witt earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 12-6. Brooklyn is now 76-46, while Thunder Bay is 72-52.
Making an impact for the home team was Yao-pang Chai. In the bottom of the second, the 18-year old shortstop had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. That made the score 2-0, Cyclones.
Brooklyn manager Jerry Cruz praised his team's "businesslike approach."
