In 12, Rosewell Beats Normal, 5-4
Mike Garza did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Normal Nutcrackers from losing the game, 5-4, to the Rosewell Tribbles in 12 innings at Classified Field. Garza went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the win, Rosewell goes to 78-43, while the Nutcrackers fall to 51-72.

The decisive blow was delivered by Alejandro Garcia in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Tony Amaro to win the game for Rosewell. The home crowd went nuts.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Leonel Alba, the Rosewell manager.
