Islanders Come Back Late to Clip Pirates
In a close game at Predator Park, the Coronado Islanders edged the Paradise Island Pirates, 5-4. Coronado first baseman Masayoshi Kamimura stood apart with his performance. He went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Getting the save was Ed Cooper, his 13th. The win makes Coronado 64-56.

Kamimura had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 cutter from Ed Aitken, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Islanders a 5-4 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Kamimura.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Kamimura told the Coronado Citizen.
