Carrollton Beats Savannah, 8-2

At Martin Field, the Savannah Peaches and Carrollton Rangers were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Ruben Nava knocked in 4 runs to help the Carrollton Rangers win, 8-2, over the Savannah Peaches. The winning pitcher was Esteban Altamirano. His record now stands at 2-3. The right-hander went 5.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits for the Rangers.
With Carrollton leading 4-2 in the top of the ninth, Nava hit a splitter from Shiro Teshima for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 8-2.
"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager David Flecha. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
Carrollton goes to 15-31, Savannah to 29-17.
