Rico Delivers Walk-Off Win for Sabercats
The Normal Nutcrackers and Sedona Sabercats provided some drama at The Lair at Sabercat Field.

The Sedona Sabercats had to overcome a big game from Normal first baseman Bob Silva to leave The Lair at Sabercat Field with a 4-3 victory. Silva went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Sedona reliever Francisco Flores picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Dermott Hallam absorbed the loss.

The contest featured some late-game dramatics from Sedona pinch hitter Jorge Rico. In the bottom of the ninth inning, with two out and the bases empty, Rico hit a walk-off solo home run to help Sedona seize the win.

"This place was jumping at the end," Rico said.

The 4th-place Nutcrackers have dropped 5 straight games.
