Victoria Wins, Zack goes 3-for-3
|
Billy Zack, who is tied for 2nd in the TR in doubles with 12, led Victoria to a triumph over Wichita. The final score was 6-3. The third baseman went 3 for 3, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 2 runs and added 2 RBI. Victoria, at 30-15, sits in second place in the TML R Fred McGriff Division.
Willie Roybal had a big 2-run home run for the Totems in the bottom of the first inning. With Victoria leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from 18-year old right-handed pitcher Alfonso Valdez and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Totems ahead, 4-0.
